I want to eat more veggies but just eating them raw isn't appetizing. What healthy type of sauce can I use with them?

Creamy Thai Dip

Makes 3/4 cup

Ingredients:

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients, mix well.

Variation: For "Oriental Dip," omit peanut butter.

Honey Mustard Dip

Makes about 3/4 cup

Ingredients:

1/4 cup prepared mustard
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients; mix well.

"Ship Ahoy!" Dip

Makes about 3/4 cup

Ingredients:

1 can (6-1/2 ounces) minced clams
2 tablespoons reserved clam juice
3 ounces cream cheese softened
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Preparation:

Drain clams, reserving 2 tablespoons clam juice. Blend cream cheese with lemon juice and garlic salt. Stir in clams and reserved clam juice. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Dill Dip for Vegetables

A wonderful creamy dill dip to serve with vegetables. A great finger food for any party.

8-10 servings 1 large bowl 10 min 10 min prep


1 pint sour cream
1 pint Hellmanns Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon beau monde spice (Spice Island)
1 teaspoon diced dried onions
2 tablespoons dill weed
1 teaspoon parsley flakes

Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
Chill.
Serve with cut vegetables

Peanut Dip:

2/3 cup water
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp grated fresh ginger
2 medium scallions, chopped
2 tbs packed brown sugar
2 tbs soy sauce
1/8 tsp chili powder
1 tbs fresh-squeezed lemon juice

In small saucepan, bring water to boil. Stir in peanut butter, garlic, ginger, scallions, sugar, soy sauce, and chili powder.
Simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice. Set aside to cool slightly or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Broccoli & Cauliflower with Cream Sauce

1/2 cup carrot juice
3 tbs reduced-fat sour cream
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cups cauliflower florets

1. In small Saucepan over high heat, boil carrot juice until reduced to 1/4 cup, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat. Whisk in sour cream.
2. Steam broccoli and cauliflower until crisptender, about 5 minutes. Transfer to serving dish. Serve with sour cream sauce.

italian dressing
sour cream *** add salt, pepper, cilantro, green onions, horseradish, wasabi anything you want to it and eat up.
cheese sauce
saute on butter, garlic, salt & pepper
