Plants must have CO2 which is a gas, water which is taken in through the roots as a liquid, sunlight, minerals from the ground, and proper temperature. They have the chlorophyll(green) and take in nitrogen in the form of nitrates, magnesium(in chlorophyll) ,phosphorus, iron, potassium and a few other minerals that they get from the ground. And they need these all in thge right amount, without overdoing it, as in flood or drought, or heat spell or cold spell, or over fertilizing. They also tae in oxygen for respiration.

Avoid normal soil and try getting the rich in nutrients soil, water for sure, the amount of sunlight depends on the kind of plant, you could also buy a hormone named auxin to increase its healthiness. and the last thing is care you must take care of your plant daily by watering it and fixing its surroundings.
