If your country were about to be flooded out of existence, probably due to other people's activities, how would you feel?

Other island nations, some only 3 ft above sea level, will be gone. Much of Florida will be gone.
The facts are on the EPA website, global warming section, in the undisputed area.

Humanity has long dissapointed me already.

I learned some time ago that most common people don't care about any possible political or social development until they suffer the effects themselves. People don't care about changing things until they have reached a desperate situation.
Few care about poverty, until they become poor.
Few care about factories closing and being replaced with sweatshops, until they go jobless and need to work at a McDonald's.
Few care about global warming now, but they *will* care twenty years from now, when droughts, floods and hurricanes have become a really harsh issue and is too late to change things.

People just lack foresight when it comes to socio-political affairs. And it's really depressing.

There are a lot of folks out there who are trying to do the right
thing when it comes to the enviornment. I think big corporations
such as Wal-mart et al. should be a major player in the game, do
we really need to waste resources to make cheap plastic worthless crap so a Wal-mart can sell in another one of their
street corner sprawls with gigantic parking lots. It's all politics.

Global warming is a myth! It was created by organizations who depend on this myth to keep on going (now that the facts are actually becoming known, these organizations are now talking about climate change instead of global warming. In a few years global warming will be forgotten as people worry about climate change).

Unfortunatly, a lot of people still believe in it, mainly because people try to condense their denials of global warming into a short statement that can be easily understood (not that the process of either global warming, or climate change is easily understood), and then confuse BTUs with calories (while saying you must look at science).

Here is what you need to do to properly understand the history of earths climate. Look that the data provided by the scientist studying the glaciers in Antartica and Greenland. Not at the levels they are now, but that the historical data. Deep in the ice is a record of earths climate for a million years. Check the CO2 levels for the past few thousand years and then tell me that man is creating greenhouse gasses which is destroying earths climate.

PS:
A calorie is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperture of one CC of water one deg. C. A BTU is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperture of one pound of water one deg F.

You may also want to check out LATENT HEAT OF FUSION. That will give you some idea of the amount of heat it would require to melt the ice caps.

While you are at it, check out the amount of "greenhouse" gases released by volcanos as oppose to the amount released by man.

I will not give you these figures because if you find them yourself (very easy on the internet), you will believe them.

The nation's leaders could probably do far worse than to present their concerns to the United Nations. It seems reasonable that some at the UN are concerned with preventing disasters.

Global warming is a non-issue. Stop worring about it. Do you really trust temps taken over a hundred years ago when we were still crapping in the woods??? NO!!

Like SO MUCH of Politically INCORRECT = Mis/Dis-Information there are NO Plans FOR PLANET FLOODING!

How about SCIENCE? It takes 1BTU to move ONE CC of water 1Degree C.

THERE ARE HOW MANY "GAZILLION" cc's of water on the earth's surface? More than 1.28 times 10 TO THE 23rd POWER?

HOW then can Global WARMING be FACT and not FICTION?

I live in Florida, and there were 12 or More PREDICTED HURRICANES Predicted?

Then the FORECAST, was changed when ATLANTIC WATER TEMPERATES were LESS THAN PREDICTED? ? ?

Sorry the Scare TACTICS are = ONLY FOR THE IGNORANT!

Thanks, RR
