As for me, I think it depends on the people involved.
When I first met my boyfriend, I thought he was a geek, a loser and overly sensitive and over confident...Okay, I'll stop now xD. This kinda contrasts to me, as I'm very ditzy and silly and shy. But, we kept talking and we eventually started dating and it's the best thing I've ever done. :)
So, what's your opinion on the subject? <3

It depends on what type of person you are. Some people want the same interest so they can do everything together. However I think my boyfriend and I are opposities and I like that about us. We dont do everything together and like everything but in the end we do have some things in common and thats what makes us us

Opposites do attract, its knowing how to deal and overcome the differences in opinion to certain situations that will determine if the relationship will last. If you always say yes, and he always says no, you won't get anywhere if neither is willing to be flexible.

It's a saying, but I don't believe in it. My husband and I are complete opposites and isn't always a marriage of paradise. He is loud, outspoken, rough, sociable and sports oriented while I am shy, home bound, into arts/crafts, reading. We find that we have nothing in common except that we share parenthood of our children.

I think it depends on just how opposite you are. If you are too opposite--I don't see it happening--but opposite with things in common will be okay.

i'm not sure. my boyfriend and i are exactly alike, it's why we get along so well (plus we were est friends for 9 years before that but *shrug*)
just because it hasn't happened to me, doesn't mean it isn't possible.
i'm sure there are people who admire another person because they are different from themselves. so yes. it certain cases. i DO think opposites attract, but not always.

Definatly! Opposites do attract, I don't want someone so like me that we have no new input or we won't have any out go.

Hey, look at the notebook, she was rich, mean and selfish. He was nice, poor and such. It happens... If you are truely happy, hold on to this relationship!
