You can't have your bottom number higher than your top number, so perhaps it was 155/107?
Hypertension can occur in young thin people as well. Some people just get nervous at a doctor's office and so it is artificially high.
While high, that's not extreme, and some outpatient checks should usually be performed before an inpatient stay.
If you do have high blood pressure, you will need lifestyle changes (watching your diet) and medication.

Yes your blood pressure is not good. Your diastolic, which is your BP while your heart is at rest, is high (155). Your systoloic is a good number, but hypertension does not need both numbers to be high to be a problem. Did they find anything while in the hospital or place you on medications? You can be thin and be in excellent shape and still have a problem with blood pressure--it is a myth that heart disease is only for those who are out of shape. Genetics plays a big role as do any congenital heart issues that may not be noticed until one gets older. Additionally, stress can also create strange blood pressure issues and you may have something known as labile hypertension, where you are not always hypertensive.
In general, keep in touch with your doctor and have your BP monitored regularly to monitor for any changes. Additionally you may need to talk with your doctor about sodium intake. Finally, you may wish to look at meditation or some other type of relaxation technique, because based on your diastolic, your heart is working very hard during rest and may need some help. Also adrenal glands can play a role in blood pressure abnormalities, so if they found nothing with your heart, you may wish to talk with your doctor about your adrenal glands.
Best of luck to you,

It is very bad. However, it may be that you have the numbers switched cause usually the systolic is the higher number. If your systolic is 155 and your diastolic is 107, it is still not good, because normal is considered 120/80.
Have them check you for hyperinsuliemia as well, because that can be an underlying cause of heart problems.

You should read "The Blood Pressure Solution" (also available in electronic format, watch the video presentation here: http://www.fixbloodpressure.com ) It's a very comprehensive step-by-step book that walks you through the natural remedies of high blood pressure. It provides you with a lot of information on what foods to eat, how you can acquire and prepare these foods, how you can change your lifestyle for the better, how to eliminate the toxins from your body, how to reduce stress, how you can check your blood pressure level the correct way etc.
The book is amazing in that it not only lowers your blood pressure without the help of medications; it also aids you in having a life that is healthy, happier, and less stressful. This book chanced my life.

My blood pressure was running about like that, sometimes a little higher, and after about a month of checking it everyday. my doc put me on a very low dosage of Lisiniprol. That was about a year ago, and so far my pressure is good and staying that way. But if the docs think there is reason to admit you to the hospital, and you trust them, you should do as they say, otherwise, ask about medication. Good Luck to you

130/80 is considered borderline. Anything higher is hypertensive and will damage organs like your kidneys and heart. 155/107 is very dangerous!!!

155!?! Yes, that's very high. Even 140 is high. You have to cut down the unhealthy food.

Very very bad, mate. You don't have to be overweight to have high blood pressure. You obviously need to drastically overhaul your whole lifestyle. Unless you're keen on dying soon?
