Because each country has a different set of rules. It is just like houses, why would you want to lock the doors at night?? You don't want strangers to go to your private properties, now do ya?

I disagree. You are clearly somebody who hasn't traveled that much. Each country has their own way of living, and it's wonderful to be able to experience customs and ideas that may be different than what we are used to (in USA, I'm assuming). Immigration is quite another thing. The act of going from a home country to a new one does not mean that we don't even need countries! Not everybody immigrates. If there weren't any countries any more, one country in particular would gain power over all the others, making every used-to-be country into the same country....all doing the same things! How crazy would that be?

Immigration and multiculturalism is great but in measured doses first and foremost you have to take care of your citizens. If you have a diverse ethnic background of citizens then you have the start of your multiculturalism, but if your country is flooded with too many then your country cant handle the strain it puts on your services (hospital welfare city and state institutes schools) they will become burden and bogged down just like we are now.

I love learning about other cultures but it doesn't mean I want to live in them. I think borders are necessary and maybe it is money they protect but without them it just seems people would drift from one place to the next just taking and not settling down to put back into what they take or even care about it.

Because it's all a big crock of crap, the companies that profit by hiring illegal alien scab slave labor deliberately circulate that garbage, they try to sell their propaganda to try and influence people to vote to ease the laws. I wish all the companies that think it's so great to have illegal workers would pull up stakes, and follow their pro-diversity instincts, and go set up shop around the world wherever it is they think that people are inherently superior to the people we've got in our own country. Immigration, illegal immigration, is about money. Not just a buck-forty, no, we're talking BILLIONS. Tens of billions. Hundreds of billions. Mega-cash. The kind of money you'd shoot your grandmother for unblinkingly. Yeah. That kind of money. So, it's law vs. profits, which is an age-old struggle, upholding the law and the public trust vs. what REALLY goes on...well, here we are...how do YOU vote on illegal immigration?

Take it one step further and we may have a one world govt called for by the UN. They certainly aren't interested in maintaining peace or preventing mas murder but they do want to make $.0l/100 e-mails, take over water mass, demand gun control, and for any Patriots sounding off FEMA camps. (a possible reason for continued terrorism be at govt's mercy)
