No! I think that the immigration issue will be the turning point in this country. Clearly the government and big business are allied to allow as many illegals as necessary into the country. The Democrats like it because it means more votes for them and the Republicans just want all that cheap labor. I think that the People have been pushed far enough and it is now time for action! Call or write your congressman today and let him/her know that you have had enough of their nonsense.

Yes! and it is for two reasons.

1) "...and accordingly all expierience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."
-Thomas Jefferson "Declaration of Independence - 1776"
One might say that America came alive in the mid-term elections, but if you take a closer look you realize that all America did was place the party it fired in 1994 back in power. There were no clamours for a new third party. The people jumped out of the fire into the frying pan.

2) The peasantry will never revolt.
We say that we lack a knowledge of history but the status quo does not. If you take a look at any revolution or dynesty change it came because the rulers were abusing the nobility. Our government is quite smart and know that if they keep enough of the rich rich, no revolt can happen.

Sorry me, you, and John Q. Public don't have a chance in hell to change anything unless we become a part of the "nobility" as it were. And once you are there are you still going to want to topple the very system which you have thrived in?

It is sad indeed. Unfortunately nobody has a clue. One person asked a question "why don't conservatives protest the ACLU?"
These are the same people who think that the only reason the jihadists hate America, is because of our presence in Saudi Arabia and our alliance with Israel.

They don't realize that Bali , which is the only Hindu Island in all of Indonesia was attacked because it IS THE ONLY HINDU ISLAND IN ALL OF INDONESIA. These maniacs are out to impose their religious order on the entire world.

If they think conservatives are a bunch of bible thumping morons. Just wait until the complacent apathetic ultra liberals make a false peace agreement with the jihadists. It will be much like North Korea. We'll send someone like Nancy Pelosi over to Tehran to give Ahmedinajad a football signed by Brett Favre. He'll agree to give up his desire for weapons grade uranium. Then about 2-3 years later, he'll conduct a nuclear test, only his test will be conducted by launching a nuke on Madrid, Paris , or Tel Aviv, or maybe Los Angeles.

I've never known a conservative to call for the beheading of a proclaimed atheist like Bill Maher. Nor do I know any conservative who would try and pass legislation to prevent women from attending schools or universities. I've never known a conservative who would make a rape victim produce 5 male witnesses to the crime before the perpetrator could be punished under the law. I've never known a conservative who would kill his daughter if she were raped, because of the "disgrace it would bring upon their family" . I've never known a conservative who would strap on a vest loaded with dynamite, and detonate it at a gay bar in San Francisco. If these nuts think that conservatives are so horrible. Just think about the hard line conservatives of the Islamic world , who want to impose their mediaeval ways of life on the modern western world.

Has no longer something to do with our founding fathers signing a written covenant telling God that this united states would be equipped and run on the precipes and concepts of the gospels of Jesus Christ! Mayflower Compact, 11/11/1620. every person below fifty 5 years old has in all risk in no way heard of this. The devils activity in the worldwide is to "scouse borrow, kill, and wreck". Gee, why is our united states on the verge of being taken over through a handful of guys that very own the federal reserve? vulnerable kneed, seeker friendly, supply me all your funds ,tolerant church homes!!! that's why!!!do no longer think of so? in basic terms examine Jeremiah 11:a million-11;(organic twist of fate) and notice what God will do to a rustic that breaks covenant to deliver them returned!! Personally, I don't feel "dummed down and numb"; I just can't say that I care anymore. It seems that in spite of the fact that the government says that it is "by the people and for the people" they will do whatever the heck they want. Just look at the Bush/Gore election. Its all about money... if you have money, you can change things, if you don't, oh well.

I think we stand up and fight for our rights less, but it's not because we are dumbed down. As another user said, it's the fear of being politically correct. I work in retail, and I was afraid to say Merry Christmas to anyone in fear that they would call corporate and complain (it has happened). Or, for example, if you have pride for being a Caucasian person and you create the "Caucasian Group" at school, it would be viewed as racist and more of an "anti" group than a "pro" group. I mean, I wouldn't do it because there isn't much of a reason. But IF I did, there would be a backlash...guaranteed.

It's ridiculous how overly sensitive people are today. We are supposed to be moving FORWARD from the race 'wars,' religion 'wars,' and so on. Instead, we bring it up every single chance I get. ACLU in New York calls it a "holiday" tree instead of its rightful name: CHRISTMAS tree. A local bank in my city had to take down its Christmas tree from a complaint. One Yahoo Answers user was calling people racist for not liking Fantasia Barrino! Again, it really is getting to be ridiculous. We will NEVER 'get along' if we have things like this happenening. America's problem, even though we are the melting pot of the world, is TOLERANCE. For as much as we preach about accepting all races, religions, etc..., we really don't on a intrapersonal level. Why can't people just let other people celebrate in the way they know?! Is having a Christmas tree in the bank going to affect the service of the bank? I mean, if anything, it provides decoration and makes the employees happer. I mean, suck it up and get over it. Customers shouldn't even have the right to take away other people's right to have the tree up.

In my band class in high school, ONE student was 'offended' that we decorated the band room with lights, a tree, etc... so he went to the office and complained that he felt "uncomfortable," so we had to take them all down (after spending 1 1/2 hrs putting them up). We even offered to put up ANY decorations he wanted. In this case (I am not singling religions or races out in this post), he was Jewish. We offered to hang white and blue lights, we even ASKED him to bring in anything from his home that would represent the religion. Instead of working with us and working together, he decided to tattle! I mean, that's pretty sad...

Anyway, I just hope we become more tolerant of ALL religions, races, etc... I think our fears of offending people, getting sued, etc... prevent us from freely speaking our minds.

I thnk most Americans are so afraid to speak out and of being politically incorrect that they would rather stay quiet than do anything about it.

Yes, I think the only way to get people to speak out or DO anything is by making it personal to them. I think a draft would get some heads out of some collective asses.
