Yes, today is Saturday, aka the Sabbath. However, that was in the Old Testament, really. If you believe in Jesus and the New Testament then you would be 'working' or doing something; some people can be so religious. Tomorrow is the Lord's Day, and hallelujah, you are saved and a servant of God only.
In Christ,
Melodie

Millions of people, Jews, Christians, even some atheists. It is just that the majority of Christians choose to have Sunday as their Sabbath, as that is the day Our Lord arose again from the dead. Paul said, (paraphrasing here)" Some people say one day is holy, others another. It does not matter which day we keep sacred, as long as we worship the Lord." As a "servant of the Lord," you need to do more homework. A Blessed Christmas to you.

Actually, the Bible says that on the 7th day God rested. Since Sat and Sun are the weekend and Sun is the 2nd day of the weekend, that makes Sun the sabbath (the 7th day).
Also, if you go backwards in 7 day jumps from Sat to Creation, what are the odds it would be the day God rested? Calenders have changed significantly since then. Also, what about leapyear?
Since it is so confusing, I say we honor whatever day people choose. Or better yet, make every day the day of the Lord.
Peace :-)

I do know today is the Sabbath. It is one of God's commandments. "So keep it holy"., alright. Because it is a commandment, as the rest of the other nine ones, it doesn't change. EVER. most people don't realize this and their breaking a covenant. There's a book called "the ten commandments". if you have not read it, please do. I'm trying to bring this awareness to the people in my life. including my pastor. how to guide people is through intercessory prayer. asking God to give you wisdom and fill you with the words of knowledge that you'll need to do your part for his kingdom. best of all to you. i'll be praying.

Yes, I did know actually. But I do not think that it matters what day people go to church, the people that go to church on Sunday go for the same reason as people that go any other day. If you are going to church for the right reasons, then God is pleased that you are worshipping Him.

hmm, so if we don't go to church on saturday, then we will go to hell? sound like you think we can earn our way into heaven. Personally i think we can and are supposed to worship God at all times, so we can have church whenever we want. Just for your information, they had church early on sunday morning so the slaves could be a part of worship and have communion before the sun came up on the first work day of the week. Jewish saboth on Saturday till sun up on Sunday. I know what you are thinking.. those evil Jewish Christians, wanting to include salves in their worship. God must have been furious about them worshiping on Sunday.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
And ask them concerning the town which stood by the sea. When they profaned the Sabbath; when their fish came to them on their Sabbath day appearing on the surface of the water, but on the day when they did not keep the Sabbath, they came not to them. Thus did We try them because they were rebellious
The punishment for profaning the Sabbath was imposed only on those who had differed about it and thy Lord will surely judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differed.

That is great that you would remind us. I do believe it isn't all about attending though. There are those that attend that watch the clock so they can exit. Your relationship with God has to come from your heart and then you don't have to wait a solid week to attend.
