ReaLemon and ReaLime juices are made by concentrating the juice of high quality fresh lemons and limes, and then adding back just the right amount of water to end up with natural strength juice — never too weak and never too strong! That way, you get perfectly consistent lemon and lime taste with every bottle or plastic squeeze shape and perfect results in every recipe!

It means juice from a lemon. However, you could subsitute the lemon juice already squeezed that you can buy in the store. I don't think the juice from that tastes as good though - I always use the fresh stuff.

You can use ReaLemon Juice in place of the juice from a lemon. You can not tell the difference. I do it all the time!

I use it ALL the time, and don't see a difference when I use the fresh lemon juice.

Personally, I've used both and can't tell the difference. I imagine that a professional chef can taste them and know which one is which, but I can't.

And the people who've eaten what I cook have never glared at me and said, "You used FAKE lemon juice!" either. I think you're pretty safe in making the substitution.

I would think fresh lemon juice, means just squeezed. Is there a difference? Probably just more work and less chemicals...

I've actually tried both. (for limes though, not lemons) And I have found no difference. I would not dillute it. It's so much easier squeezing the plastic thing for the juice, too...I always get lime/lemon juice in my cuticles and ouch!

I have also used both and I don't taste any difference what so ever. I think it is just a matter of convenience
