ooooh...vinegar might work (it's not a great smell either, but better than cat pee!)....hydrogen peroxide...or baking soda. Try one, if it doesn't work, try the others.

there's a product with enzymes bought in a white bottle which will kill urine smells in carpet. You soak the carpet and enable it dry, it would want to take a week or 2 and through that aspect it nonetheless smells. yet once the carpet, pad and underlying timber are dry, it does remove urine smells. i'd imagine it really is going to artwork on basically timber as well. If that would not artwork, you may have the floor sealed with poylurethane which will catch the scent and forestall it from going into the room. If the end on the floor is already in solid structure, and its basically the scent, you would possibly want to probable do it your self on the low-cost, yet that's the style of problem the position a specialist can do a effective pastime for not so a lot more desirable than it expenses you for the poly at retail. It expenses about $2 a sq. foot to have your flooring sanded and performance 3 coats of poly utilized. they are going to seem marvelous and performance no scent from the urine. some floor human beings can charge $.seventy 5 to $a million a sq. foot more desirable for the urine problem because sanding makes the urine come out really sturdy and they ought to pay the staff more desirable to artwork in that condition. regardless of the indisputable fact that the problem will bypass away with this therapy.

Well you can buy stuff to stop pets from peeing places. It's called like pets stay off or something like that. At first it smells wierd, just because of the smell of the spray. But then you don't smell the spray after a while and the urine smell is gone. It hides the odor so the pets won't pee there anymore and makes the odor go away. it works really well but you will smell the spray for about a day. The spray doesn't usually smell too good but it gets rid of the urine.

Hi Lissa...after tearing up the carpeting is there wood sub-flooring underneath? If so, it's likely the urine has saturated this and needs to be professionally treated with an enzymatic neutralizer. Some people have had success using Nature's Miracle 'Just for Cats' (not the plain Nature's Miracle) which is an enzymatic neutralizer found worldwide at any pet store. It works by soaking the areas deeply and thoroughly and then allowing to air dry--not wiping/mopping it back up. Repeated applications are necessary for very heavily soiled areas. However, the subflooring may not benefit from this, but you can buy the gallon size and give a try before ringing a professional.

There are products out there sold at pet stores and online that have enzymes in them, you wanna look for one that says it we digest or eat the odor not cover it up. Some more industrial cleaning places will carry this also. It can be used on floors and carpets, follow the dilution directions, but don't be afraid to use more if the smell is still there, it shouldn't hurt anything else. so apply and let fully dry then see if it smells, try not diluting it at all if smell is really really strong (ie. if the last people had male cats) good luck!!

There is a product that u can find at any pet store it is called " order remouvle ".
And if u ripped the carpet out and it still smells its probably the room. Cat urine tends to have that nasty smell that stays for ever. Try air cleaner.
Or u can call a local pet shop and ask them what they think, Good Luck ;)

When you ripped out the carpet and you ripped 'everything' and are down the wooden floor then you have to make sure that all the dirt is cleaned up. Vacuum it well.
Then get some..pine-sol, vinegar and a scrubby brush with bristles on a long handle and scrub your little heart out.
Don't dilute any of these things very much...
Hey, any kind of cleaner smell is 100 % better than the smell of kitty piddle. After you get done doing all the scrubbing ...get a 'bunch' of rags and dry it as much as possible.
What ever you do...don't let the floor dry with all that nasty water on it. Sop up as much crummy water that is on your floor as you can and throw the rags away.
Make sure that you have gotten as much of the soaked in potty off of the floor that you can.
When you are pretty sure of that...then dry it real good with a space heater..or something like that.
After it is completely dry....go to the home improvement store and follow the direction on a package of ...disinfecting, sweet smelling ...powderstuff..
Good luck!

Some pet stores sell products with enzymes in it that will neutralizing the smell. Not just masking it.
But first I would get yourself a blacklight and shine it around the problem room to see exactly where the issue is. This way you have at least a target to work on.

You can purchase this at Lowes, Home Depot.....just ask for it or go into the area that they carry the primer.....good luck:)
