They demanded I give them proof of Biblical contradictions, and I offered that they could return in a week so I could give them a list, but they never came back.

Each congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses makes regular visits at *ALL* the homes in its territory, including those who have proven to be disagreeable and argumentative in the past. Only those addresses which have specifically requested no visits, or those which seem literally dangerous, are not visited along with the immediate neighbors.

With regard to so-called 'return visits', each Witness is personally responsible for performing these conscientiously. It does not seem as though any Witness actually agreed to return to this questioner for a followup. Frankly, it seems doubtful that a Witness would choose to use (or misuse) his time in the ministry with a person who has proven to be insincere and argumentative. The Scriptures actually warn against doing so.

(2 Thessalonians 2:1-3) We request of you not to be quickly shaken from your reason... Let no one seduce you in any manner

(Romans 16:17-18) Keep your eye on those who cause ... stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them. ...by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Ask her why the Jehovah's Witnesses prophesied the 2nd coming of the Lord Yeshua since before 1914 all the way to 1985? This should stop her from coming ever again. Be Blessed:-)

To answer, we need to remember that, while the Bible is the Word of God, it was written down by a number of men over a period of several centuries. These writers had different backgrounds, writing styles, and gifts, and all these differences are reflected in the writing.

Often it is merely a case of lack of complete information. The Bible provides enough knowledge to fill our spiritual need. But if it were to give us every detail about every event mentioned, it would be a huge, unwieldy library, rather than the handy, easy-to-carry volume that we have today. But the problem usually is lack of knowledge regarding details and circumstances of the times. Often critics are just looking for contradictions and so may declare. As more details are known, apparent discrepancies in the Bible disappear.
We have no interest in arguing with those who show no respect for truth. Rather, our desire is to reason from the Scriptures with people who will allow us to do so. Regardless of the situation we encounter, we keep in mind that we ought to answer with kindness and with conviction that the precious promises of God are reliable.

Yet not everyone is willing to listen, and we do not try to force them. “Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until you leave. When you are entering into the house, greet the household; 13 and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you. Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to you words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet." (Matthew 10:11-15 -

When we go door to door, we are looking for people who are looking for Bible truths. We do not go looking for people who want to argue and debate. If there are questions, we love to answer questions! It is true they may have come back while you were not at home, are you home 24/7? We are busy people and we have a lot of people to call on. But from the tone of your post, you are just wanting to fight with the JWs that are coming to your door and if I can get that from the post, most certainly the friends that knocked on your door could get that feeling also. We do NOT like to argue with people!

we do not get into an argument with anyone. also they could of come back to your home and you where not at home. we don't get paid for doing the work that Jesus Christ told us to do at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. years ago my husband and I went to a door and this woman wanted to argue with us, we said have a nice day and we left, the woman had her mouth opened because she thought we would argue with her. we have better things to do then argue with people, we go to the next door and maybe that next person will have an open mind. Jesus told us to wipe the dust off our shoes and say have a next day.

Never heard of one of these folks (of this organized religious persuasion) 'demanding' anything of another (adult). . . amazing that you feel they did this with you. . .
Perhaps they detected your disagreeable (as you have described it) attitude, and decided to avoid your confrontational approach?
Keep your list - they usually do return - eventually. . .

They don't come back because they know they can't get you into their group. People that can give proof are the ones they stay away from, only if you faltered and looked needy would they have come back.
