I'm making a white bean soup, need something to hold a bunch of herbs that will go into the soup don't have time to go to a market.

Try a tea ball to hold the herbs

Place your herbs and spices in a coffee filter, twist it and tie a string around the top and drop it into the soup. Leave enough string on so you can pull it out easy when the soup is done. Hope this helps.

I would not use the bandana, whatever it was washed in would flavor the bean soup. Soapy soup?

whatever your going to use...make sure it is well rinsed first...colour doesn't MATTER>>>>
just make sure it is rinsed, if it's been used before..
here's a thought...why not put the herbs in withOUT the cloth...tie them together and put them in whole and fish them out later?..
