What IS an affordable price? I own a Sony DSC-H2 I paid $341 but found I paid a bit too much. You can't do everything with this camera but it has 12X optical 6 megapixels, and image stablizer. Comes with battery charger. Takes great shots but credit that with photographer haha .There are cameras out there with 8 & 10 megapixels. A lot of excellent cameras out there from Nikon, Canon, Olympus, and Sony.

In an article from NY Times. Only one camera the Pentax offers a truce mechanical stabilizer. All Others just bump up the ISO or apply antiblur softward. Hopes this helps.
