Religious people are less likely to fear death than others. The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Thess. 4:13, "I would not have you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning them which are dead, that you sorrow not, even as others which HAVE NO HOPE." That's you. Without hope......It is you and others like you who fear death.

I see where you're coming from. But I think it's natural to be afraid of death. I'm not religious, and I'm afraid of death. It may be that some religious people are actually less afraid of death than others, due to their strong beliefs that there is an afterlife. Others have religion because of their fear of what happens after they die, and it eases their fear somewhat to believe that the spirit goes on after death. I personally believe this is all there is, and it ticks me off.

Disagree. Thanatas, is a progressive part of life, and is welcomed as a reward for a good life, by most religious people.
