I wonder how long until red wine starts carrying health warnings. Specifically: "Warning - This drink may seriously improve your health".
Barely a week goes by without finding out that red wine gives you, say, X-ray vision, or increases the lifespan of, say, antelopes.
Previous studies have suggested that the polyphenols in red wine may help to cut inflammation, and possibly the risk of both cancer and heart disease. But this week, it seems that the wonder-compounds help fight gum disease, too, by blocking production of free radical molecules – which can damage gum tissue if allowed to run rampant. Of course, the experts are quick to point out that red wine is not really a path to oral health – brushing twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste is still the way to go.
And just in case you've forgotten the other benefits of the magical beverage... Red wine may boast antibiotic properties, may soothe lung disease, and even extend life (okay, okay – in yeast).
Meanwhile, some white wines are trying to get in on red wine's healthy act..
Cheers!!

red wine is made from whole red grapes whereas white wine is made from the pulp alone. the skin is red in colour and is very rich in antioxidants.Antioxidants are considered to be very good for the heart because of its bad cholesterol reducing properties. Since red wine has more of antioxidants than white wine it is better than white wine.
But please dont overdo it...anything in large amounts is bad for the body..;)

Its a lie. Wine period is NOT good for the body. Alcohol is NOT good for the body.
ANYONE can produce a study and make that study go the way they want it to go.
Years ago they told you that cigarette smoking was not harming you. Uh, ok......
Its a lie, just like the lies the meat and dairy association feed you as well. Dairy does NOT feed your bones calcium. Dairy in fact depletes bone density. Its very bad for your colon, both meat and dairy and should be used with great moderation.
Alcohol should not be used for your body period. Besides the fact that it also is not good for the spirit.
You can continue to beleive these companies that feed you lies to sell their products. Its best you do the research your own self. Common sense in most cases can help you a great deal learn what is actually good for you and what is not.

if it is only a glass you are talking about then red wine is better as it has higher number of antioxidants. Excess of everything is bad so if you go over the limit then both are as harm full

Red wine contains anti-oxidants -
However if your concerned about anti-oxidants and cancer try drinking green or white tea daily as it is more of a cancer preventative than wine.
