Yes, Nikon kept their mount the same for all the cameras, as far as I know.

Modified AI, AI, AIS, and E series( these are non auto focus lens)
will fit but the meter doesn't work and no auto focus but with a lens of f 5.6 or faster the electronic range finder will work( a green dot in the view finder will light up when the lens is in focus.
AF Nikkor G and D will work with all functions working( all of the metering mode including spot , auto focus, Programs)

All of the above are correct, but look under "Lens, compatible" in the index of your owners manual. You will find a list of which lenses work and with what features.

They will fit because they all have nikkor fittings but I don't think you will have the addvantages of a digital lense like the spot metering and stuff. Best go digital

Yes, but the focal lenght will be longer & you may lose some auto mode depending on the lens/camera combination
