I'm not sure your theory about the origin of religion would hold up to scientific scrutiny.
However, no God would not be a war criminal if he were the cause of a war, only if he ACTED in a way that caused undue death and hardship to others.

First of all, Jesus wasn't "just a smart doctor". According to scripture, a woman once touched His cloak (without Him knowing it) and was instantly healed of the decade-long bleeding she was undergoing. Can a mere "smart doctor" do that? I suggest you read more about his healings - you'll find that most were impossible by mere "smarts".
It is true, however, that a lot of wars have been started in the name of God. These wars are products of human wrongs, and not God's. God didn't create war. God created man, of which is the reason that there is war.
And about the thing you say that the Bible could be mere gossip, I suppose is far-fetched. People don't die for what they know to be gossip. I don't suppose the fifty students would testify for their lives that the convicted student who did nothing but punch another student also shot him and beat up a teacher. I suggest you do more homework.

Muslim armies had conquered much of northern Africa, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, and Spain, which had been some of the most heavily Christian areas in the world.
Thousands, and possibly millions, of Christians died during this drive to eventually bring the entire world under Islam.
The First Crusade was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II to check the advance of the Muslims and regain control of the city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
I am sure that some atrocities were committed by both sides during this war but by most people's judgment this was a just war.
With love in Christ.

The holy war is on going as we speak.Bush and his rightist right is fighting it right now in Iraq, and Afghanistan. We have killed 10 times the terrorists compared to the americans lost in the twin towers.Iran has not threaten the world, only Israel. For some reason the united states believes Israel is part of the united states. We have pumped billions in to there coffers hoping they will take care of that part of the world. If it wasn't for the jewish population in new york,I doubt if we would give a tinkers dam about Israel.

I don't really understand what you are going on about, however,it is unfair and unjustified to blame God for the so called 'holy wars'.It was not God's intention or direction that brought these wars about but men.Men who twisted God's Holy Word and used it to justify their own goals.
Jehovah God is a God of love.He wants only the best for his creation.
Why don't you consider studying the Bible.Jehovah's Witnesses offer free home bible studies.By doing this you will learn the truth and realise what a wonderful, kind and merciful Heavenly Father we really have

God is not the cause of wars, people are. God didn't personally instruct anyone to go to war. People in power, kings in the past, governments nowadays who seek/sought to go to war have loong told people that it was God's will that they go to war or that God was "on their side" to blackmail men into going to war. It wasn't God who told them to do this, and its ludicrous to say so. People have free will and that includes lying about the will of God, I believe it would come under the category of taking the Lord's name in vain.
And as for your assertions about Jesus and the entire New Testament, rumours/edited information wouldn't last 2,000 years. After Jesus' death, people would have just given up on this if it were not for the Resurrection and that Jesus truly did perform the miracles attributed to Him. In other words, if it were not true, why continue meant putting your neck on the line, in lands occupied by a foreign power?

You seem to have been brainwashed quite thoroughly.
The crusades were attempts by Western Christians to take back the lands which the invading Muslim hordes took from the Eastern Christians. What we badly need is another crusade to finish the job.

God was not the cause. He was the EXCUSE by some.
The cause was vested self interest,
There is no hint in the Bible that Jesus was a doctor of any kind, by the way. And there were no pubs then
May I respectfully suggest that you check at leats SOME of your facts from time to time?
