Not necessarily...many web-sights offer overnight shipping. The Post Office, Fed Ex, UPS and other shipping companies offer next-day delivery, Sunday delivery, and even Christmas Day delivery...but you will pay dearly for those services.

The trick is to find a merchant who is open for business today (Saturday, 2 days before Christmas) and who is willing to go through the rigmarole to pack your order and get it to the Post Office or a shipping office that's open. In some cases, they'll have to drive it to the shipping company's airport office.

So, it's possible...but you can't be very picky about from whom you want to buy something. You'll need to shop according to what shipping service the seller offers, rather than what merchandise they offer.
