For those that don't read russian - the translation of the answer that was posted in russian;
I recently read the leading principles of Yahoo, and they indicate that we must not declare in any language except the English (which makes sense, because this - yahoo Great Britain), but I saw many questions, declared in other languages. Furthermore, if we do declare in other language even we do request so that the people would translate this to the English, we do disrupt rules?

Prayer is communication with God and we are his children and if you feel talking with God is cheeky then you don't know him.
Prayer dose change things and God dose answer our prayers.
God wants us to ask if we don't ask we don't receive. he is are heavenly father and there is nothing imposable for him.
When you were a child did you ever ask you father to fix anything? He may not have fixed it if you didn't ask. Our heavenly father works in much the same way. No you don't always get what you ask for because he knows more than us what is best for us we are his children and as his children our father wants are love and wants us to talk with him and out of his love and grace he will change some things for us.Give him thanks in all things and trust him.

Prayer changes things and I dont think it is a bit cheeky. In the bible, God has been known to change when prayers come from many people.

"Absolute Predestination" was Calvin's concept to combat scientific advancements claiming that science made god obsolete.
Calvin went too far in the other direction, and confused several founders of different denominations (including Methodists, where I was confirmed)
The "PLAN" is .. this has to happen. How you achieve it is up to your personality and expressiveness.
If the key person is irresponsible, the "PLAN" doesn't change, but passes onto someone else. Most of the Bible is a cronicle of human failure. That's what made Jacob's victory so unique - that is why his name was changed after fighting the angel - he'd won a victory of faith

The "trick" to it is to learn the will of God and Pray asking for THAT. It isn't easy, but can be done and as you mature in your Christian walk it gets easier and easier. Nobody ever gets perfect at it, but over time it gets easier.

The Bible says that we do not receive because we do not ask and when we ask we ask amiss. The point is God isn't Santa Claus. We can't write up our wish list and expect God to deliver the presents. We are supposed to be seeking God's plan and make our requests accordingly.

No,because if what we pray for is in harmony with God's will ,chances are that He will grant it.
We need to keep in mind that even though Jehovah hears our prayers,He doesnt answer all of them.
He wants us to pray to him and petition Him.It is an expression of faith and a display of reliance on Him.

James 5: 14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Prayer is not just asking for stuff; we pray to seek God's counsel and to thank Him for his many, many, many blessings.
