Well realationships and carriers are normally common ground for both parties to have in common! My wife is a school teacher but I am in construction work. I know very little about what she goes thru daily and she really takes no intrest in my job or my problems at work. I would say that if you both work together or are in a similar carrier path, then i would not recommend working together but you both can relate to each other's struggles or concerns as you both have that in common. So, to me its not a bad thing!

NO, NO and NO...relationships should revolve around each other...everything outside the relationship should be open for discussion as talking and friendship are one of the main ingredients in a relationship...but career, as important as it may be, should not be the center.

It depends on how high both partners place their careers on their lists of priorities. I put mine at the very top — and men at the bottom. I would never let my career suffer for a man's sake. In order to alleviate any possible lapse in judgment, I've decided not to have a boyfriend.

if it does then its bound to fail. there has to be more common ground than that for you to have a long term relationship. even the most interesting job is boring to hear about continually. check your life experience to see what else you can come up with.
