i've just had to cancel a flight to tokyo, to go to this party. that was cancelled anyway. due to the fog. i got the money back, from the travel agent this morning. my recent boss and two previous bosses, gave me £750 for christmas. it's a tip. i used to manage scope, somerset computers for charity, which is now closed down and i worked for rspca, this year. what could i spend £750 on. i nedd to find a job in the new year, is this the best time of year, to search for work.

Sorry to say that it is a bad time of year. Searching for work is never fun but especially at a time when many people are not working themselves but getting paid holiday leave. Good luck in the New Year.

If you are unable to fly out to your friends anyway, go to a party. I can think of nothing better to do while waiting for the weather to clear. At least it'd be better than waiting in a cold airport for your flight.

i would goto new york, your friends can see you any time! you could spend your money over there in all the designer shops i know i would, think you should wait till after the new year to find work!!

do what you feel will make you happy. me....i would choose friends over work. that is what i feel Xmas is about....being with the ones you love.
