free video editing?

does anyone know any free downloads(or trials) that consist of video editing? AND dont require windows xp? cause my computer is old.. (sorry to say) therefore, i have windows 98 (booo..) so any one? help!

But I recom.......Adobe Premiere 6.5 bcoz it hv lot of Video Filters
and Transition ..........extra third party plugins.........
