Most guys at a youngish age just want a gf because they are lonely or just want sex to boost themselves.

Most guys just tend to realise they want experience from relationships in the end and so date lots of girls, they go out with them and will most likely have sex then dump the girl. Sounds horrible doesnt it?

but i think anyone will agree, imagine you met your first bf/gf and at first you thought they were the one? you'd after a while imagine what it would be like to be with another pretty girl or another guy.

you just know when you met the right person, something clicks and you dont mind spending the rest of your life 'with them'.

guys around the age of 18/19 may be ready to commit but theres still alot of guys at that age who are still just enjoying their youthfulness and seeing what they 'can get' if that makes sense.

im almost 19 and feel ready to commit.. ive dated about 7 girls.. sounds silly as im still young but if your lucky you may find a guy who would be willing to commit at such a young age (but only considering the guy has had lots of experience in relationships before).

i dont think 'anyone' would like to be happy being pinned down to just dating one person in life.
you just have to wait until the guy is mature enough really.

Most guys don't want to be rushed into something. Most guys aren't ready for any committment. It scares them and it should especially if they feel they are not ready for a committment. Guys are squeemish at times and want their freedom for as long as they can keep it. They like the freedom to play the field so to speak. Some girls like this freedome too and are not ready to settle down for any reason. Don't crtiticize someone for not being ready to commit to any relationship if he is not ready to do so and worse of all don't rush him because you will probably eventually run him off.

commitment is final, no more playing the field, next mortgage then kids, blokes don't like to feel trapped, but given time and if the relationship is right they will. I did now been with partner for 11 years, mortgage and two wonderful kids

A lot of women are afraid of commitment too.
After all, it's a scary thing to put all your trust in another person.
It is a decision worth making carefully, I don't need to quote divorce rates here do I?

Because they're not in love with you. You'll do until "the one" comes along. Especially if you're prepared to sleep with him.
