At this late stage, for a starter I would recommend a good soup, vegetable and home made.
An easy recipe is root vegetables (so carrots, parsnips, turnips etc You can use those frozen casserole packs from the supermarket for this) sweat in a little oil, with a bay leaf, and then add some chicken stock. Bubble away and then whizz up with a blender. Suits everyone.
Kids will love it if you sprinkle cheese on top, jug of cream for everyone to add if they wish and anyone who is on a low fat diet can be reassured that its healthy.
Serve with melba toast, its not too heavy, kids love it and you dont need butter.
For the main course, turkey is ideal. Low fat and pretty ,much everyone likes it. Buy a rolled turkey breast. Its much easier to cook and carve for that number of people. They can be a little dry though and I prefer a whole bird. If you do buy a whole one, stuff with an orange cut in half, a lemon and a whole load of herbs. Keep it moist by keeping the foil on til the very end - just remove it to brown it. I do like plenty of butter and olive oil on my turkey, I think a little would not hurt.
Serve with plenty of good roast potatoes. So long as the oil is hot, they wont soak up too much of it. Drain them well using kitchen paper. Steam loads of carrots and sprouts.
Make real gravy. Just use the juices from the bird (lose the fat) and add a glass of wine or sherry. If it needs thickening then add a little cornflour.
Stuffing does not have to be too bad for you. I always make my own but cheat by adding a good quality packet mix to some good quality sausage meat. I also add port soaked apricots but that may be a bit much!
Pudding wise I suggest a couple of options. A big fruit salad or Xmas pudding means that you can go traditional if people want to, and there is also a healthy option which kids would enjoy too.
I always provide a cheese board with celery and fruit which everyone enjoys tucking into throughout the afternoon.
Plenty of water, juice and wine - and everyone will be happy!
Good luck

best starter is hors doeuvres - a platter of salad leaves, hard boiled eggs, smoked salmon, prawns, etc. Just put it in the centre of the table and let people help themselves. That way, everyone gets something they like and it's a light meal so no-one gets too full.
Main meal - turkey is good and there are lots of low-fat recipes around. It's easy to cook and just a few vegetables at the side is sufficient.
Pudding - Christmas pud isn't to everyone's tastes - have some mince pies ready and some ready-made custard. Also bring a platter of fresh fruit to the table - chopped melon pieces, apple pieces, clementines, berries and let everyone help themselves. Again, a healthy finish.
Good luck, don't get stressed.

In the event it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
