I chickened out because I started feeling all nervous and shy around him. I don't know why! I'm NEVER EVER that way around people.
But, If I confessed, he'd know how much I like him and probably take advantage of my affections, right? He might even get turned off?

No, probably not. Just go and talk to him. You don't have to tell him all that. He SHOULD be able to tell by you struggling to talk to him that you like him. Maybe you should ask him out on a date or something. Good luck!

I think flaking on him will turn him off more. Suck it up and try again. He won't take advantage unless he's an a$$, and then you wouldn't want him anyway.

I think you are overthinking this. Best to leave it alone. He can do without a girlfriend that plays these games.
