Church? The word translated 'church' is the word "ecclesia" or something like tha. A good translation of this word is "assembly".

There are many 'assemblies" mentioned in the new testament, seven in Revelation alone.

Each of these had a different name, a different establishment date, a different beginning and a different founder. However they all had one thing in common, Jesus as Lord and saviour.

All churches that are based on the truth of God's word are part of ONE body - the Body of Christ. All are different parts of the one body and peform different functions.

One Church? YES! One common purpose? Yes! One God? Yes! One way to worship and servr? No! Not untill Jesus comes again, anyway!

Yeah, but your church celebrates pagan holidays, worships idols, and otherwise refuses to follow God's teachings. Any church can claim to be the true church. But, as Jesus himself said 'it's by their fruits that you will recognize them'.

True Christians can be found by the way they live their life, not because their church has a certain name.

You could add, "If someone wants to be saved and asks, 'What shall I do?', would your church give the same answer Peter gave in Acts 2:36 - 38?

I dont go to church, my mind is my own church, the bible is a man made book, the church a man made organization, christiantiy is to me as it is to Thomas Paine

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.
