I am a little disappointed in the Nikon Coolpix S10 I received this week, and I have tested it a bit. I have an older Coolpix 4500 and I find it much more professional in its options. The S10 has a fixed f3.5 lens as I understand it which is somewhat limited. It has a very cheap feeling to it, as it’s mostly plastic, and it is a bit overpriced at the present store price. I got it for the X10 zoom and the Vibration Reduction but it is missing many other features that the older 4500 has. I wish I would have gone up to the D 50 or D75 or so

nikon coolpix is good camera. i will rate it 7. if u want to buy very good then go for SLR. all fixed lense cameras are like this only.

I bought my girlfriend this camera. I hate it and she loves it.
She loves it because of the optical zoom and it is easy to carry.
I hate it for the lack of creative control, the way it chews up batteries and it is hard to navigate the menus with that little button.
