What's also amazing about the Bible is that it has been written over a period of 1500 years by 44 authors but one central theme runs through all 66 books. Of course the amount of people whose lives have been touched by it can hardly be estimated.

I think people tend to reject the Bible because they are offended by the behaviour of some Christians. But then, nobody's perfect, and in any group of people you will find the aggressive ones, the weirdos, the arrogant ones...

Furthermore, the Bible and science don't need to oppose each other. The Bible isn't about scientific facts, but its message that the earth was created by a higher intelligence is something scientists like Einstein agreed with.

Science is everchanging because it constantly gets better at it's understanding of the natural world. Science is based on evidence and experimentation.

I can't decide if what you say about fossils and evolution is a forgivable misunderstanding or pure stupidity: are you looking for a fossil that actually shows you one speicies turning into another? If so what you are asking for is like a movie, where a fossil is a still from that movie.

Bible 100% accuate? To see that's complete zealous bullshit look no further than what the bible says the numerical value of pi is.

Finally, that you lump the DaVinci Code in with science laughable to the point of lamenting.

I disagree. The bible has gone through many changes since it's creation not to mention that scholars disagree on interpretations from the same version all the time. How is that "100% accurate"? And there are transitional fossil species. Check out the Pakistani whales and horse teeth. I know you'll just rationalize with a half baked argument about "incompleteness" or somethign else from the Discovery Institute but I tried.

And what will we do with the "truth"? If you found out that is it 100% certain that evolution is true, then what? Or, if they SOME HOW were able to prove god exists...then what?....say, "I told you so" ?

I really dont care. I believe in evolution only because it seems more plausible than the bible and what I've heard about other theories. Even if I had an epiphany and I knew the true answer, I'd just go "huh, ok" and go on with my life.

WHY DOES IT MATTER SO MUCH? Can't we argue over other things that actually are relevant to THIS century?

actually the Davinci code is a fictional book, they even keep it in the fiction section at the library, anyone mistaking it for fact is severely retarded.

also the Bible has only been around for 2000, The Torah has been around for 4000+ yrs.

also the Bible is the one of the most often changed books in history.

are we up to the 1000 version yet? (maybe I'm over exaggerating...maybe.)

There is a natural being, and a spititual being.
The natural being can believe the natural things, they are tangible and we can see them, but cannot comprehend the spiritual things.
The spritual being can comprehend both worlds.
If we want to learn about the tangible, we read natural books.
If we want to learn about God , a spirit, and the rest of Him, we have to become spiritual thinking beings.
If not, confusion will reign, and there will be thousands of different faiths and religions, instead of one, the original.

People are afraid of the truth - especially when it cannot be proven in some peoples minds.

Isn't it funny, that they still refer to it as the theory of evolution.
