You can downlaod videos from Youtube, through these sites;

If you can spend money on a program, you can download videos from youtube for free, and you don't have to convert and all that. I use a program called Quivic. http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/quivic/index.html you can get it from there, and it automatically downloads as AVI.
