A Chinese lady friend of mine would say, "There is no such language as... 'Chinese.' That is like saying, 'Americanese.' Chinese people speak Cantonese or Mandarin or other dialects."
Chinese people are intelligent, honorable and friendly (at least the ones I've met). In my vocabulary this defines them as "good." Chinese food is also good. The languages of the Chinese people would be good to 'learn,' if for no other reason because so many people world-wide speak these dialects. Also, a linguistic genius acquaintance tells me that they are actually easier, more logical, to learn than say... English.
