My boyfriend says bah humbug to xmas...Now he wants to buy me...and he nver buys me anything unless I need it!! Which I find mean of him..like I like jewelry as a gift...he wont buy it.This year...he wants to buy me a pair of boots...but only because of his hobby of fourwheeling...should I just tell him not to bother buying me anything at all? To me this is just him being selfish and to be honest..I deserve much more than a pair of boots..Ive lived with him for 2 years now

No. Your boyfriend is buying you something you do not want and no one does that boyfriend or not. Simple. He is being ignorant of your own choices and not allowing you to make one that suits you is a form of 'control'. Are there other areas of your life he has total say over?

Just because you live with him doesn't mean you deserve anything other than what you get. You have had two years to learn what he is like and you are still there. If you are going to remain there, knowing what he is like, cheap, don't complain as you have no one to blame but you.

Im sorry. You are with the kind of guy who doesnt care about what you like, but what he likes. Acceplt his boots, but never wear them. He needs to learn to please you and do something FOR you. Or else, leave him. Good luck.
