i was a born-buddhist also, my parents disallow me to convert from buddhism, because they say that who will carry the duty to pray and carry down tradition of my ancestors.
i dun really believe in the buddhist tradition ,because they just simply believe in praying with insence, chanting,donating,which most evil people used it as an opportunity to gain money and the monks and nuns today are nonsence.
so, i think christianity is better, and now i wished to convert, can you give me some advice on how to become a new christian? i have secretly did some research about christianity and i know that, the Lord Jesus, holy spirits, god did exist in our daily life.. what should i do when i am a christian?

If you want to become a Christian:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).

Yyou need to admit your sinful nature to God, because this is what separates all of us from Him.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

Realize that salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ is a gift that none of us deserves.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8).

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

Jesus says,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6).

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20).
If you want to receive Jesus now, and accept His gift of salvation, it's a matter of believing in Jesus Christ, repenting of your sins, and turning the rest of your life over to Him. This is not a ritual based on specific words, but rather, a prayerful guideline for your sincere step of faith.

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. Find a church and start reading the Bible.I will also be praying for you :)

There is no specific ritual to convert to Christianity. Christianity is not a club; it's a label on just a general common belief system. However, there are DEFINITELY things you can do to further your relationship with God & to know him better. Read the Bible. But a word of caution: USE YOUR BRAIN while reading it. Ask questions. If you have this vague idea of what you may or may not believe, that's not as close to God as you could be. Also, keep in mind that the Bible was written by man. So read a little, & think about it. Think if you really believe that or if that's only what's written on the page. And if ur confused, then ask other Christians what they believe & decide for yourself. Also, pray. You don't have to even speak when you pray. You just have to think it. Personally, because my dad is prejudice against Christians, I wait till he's gone so I can do whatever I want. LoL ;) Praying is the BEST THING. God answers you. The key is that you have to listen to him. That can be hard at first. But when you're in any given situation, just ask God, what do you want me to do from here? Trust me, he answers. I do it like 15 billion times per day. All you have to do is trust that He's leading you in a path to a good result. I'm praying for you!

I'm not going to tell you what religion you should be, but what makes you think Christianity is any different. If you read the Monkey, which is a story about A Buddhist priest and a monkey and several other characters, you would learn extreme religion is bad no matter what religion it is. Sexual abuse by priest, collection plates, you'll find the same thing in Christian church, synagogs and any religious establishment. To start off with, what you are taught is not true Buddhism. Most People do not know what true Buddhism is because Caucasians force Asians to catagorize their religion, which is confusing to Asians. Chinese and other culture pick and choose different aspect they like in religion and create their own personal religion. In CHina it usually a combination of Taoism, Confuscionism, Ancestral worship mixed in with Buddhism. In Japan it is Shintoism and Buddhism and South east Asia its Hinduism, Ancestral worship and Buddhism. Some form of Buddhism states you should find your own path, which is what you are looking to do. The nonsense you experience has nothing to do in finding your path to enlightenment. If you want to convert to Christianity, go ahead, but yuo should read about it before you convert. Go sit in on a few of the Churches. Also be aware that according to Buddhism, you could still worship God and Jesus. Pure Buddhism is a Philosophy more than a Religion. There is no god in Buddhism in itself.

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews believe that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The point of view of the anti Messianice Jews is best summed up by Mark JPAS when he said "it is acceptable to blend some degree of foreign spiritual elements with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, which is perceived to be incompatible with any form of Jewishness. This is the double standard that is applied to Christianity even though Jesus is considered the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are looked at with even greater disdain. Why? its a cover for there own deviations from Judaism. Some Jews need to maintain a connection to Jewish family because they have deviated so much from traditional Judaism that many Orthodox question their Jewishness. They need find some way to distract attention because of there deviation from the Torah. This is done by pointing their finger at others to direct attention away from their own actions. You can't give yourself a title and expect that it makes you something. This is the argument that has been used against Jews that decide that Jesus is the Messiah. We are told that the mere belief of a different nature of God immediately invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the same time Jews that become atheists, pantheists or stop practicing any element of their religion we are told are still Jews. They say that you can believe in anything but Jesus. Jews call conversion "joining the tribe". Things that would never fly in Orthodox or for that matter Messianic Judaism can be found in the Reform and Reconstructionist movements. A good example of this is a previous question asked here. The person asking worshiped the God Ferris but did not believe in him or the Jewish God. The focus of the question was" ...would you PERSONALLY feel comfortable welcoming me not just as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, but as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was clearly asking about converting to Judaism). The response was "Reform Judaism covers a wide swath of beliefs and practices and I am sure you will be wholly accepted. ... I personally would accept you whole heartily as a fellow Jew." So some Jews will accept all kinds of deviations from the Torah but not belief in "Jesus". Let's not forget the Reform movement wanted to change the sabbath to Sunday to be more like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant yet you can become an atheist, stop practicing their faith, become a Buddhist, join a Unitarian Church and still be a Jew in the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox when asked about other Jews will say they don't know what non Orthodox Jews are. The same applies to the other sects. Speaking of sects Jews will tell you there are no sects but its not true. Rabbinical Jews follow an understanding of their faith that was established 1,900 years ago. They have their own canon of Scripture. There are also non Rabbinical Jews such as the Ethiopian Jews that follows the pattern of the Christian Old Testament and they have many additional books that they consider to be scripture. A group called the Karaites is the opposite of the Ethiopian and only believe in the 5 Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews call Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and see for yourself. Don't let anyone tell you that there are no sects in Judaism. They say the the teachings of Jesus are very different from Judaism. They also claim that Jesus taught nothing new from the rabbis before him. Then they we tell you that there were no rabbis until a hundred years after the time of Jesus. Its all about winning the argument to them not about what's true. The problem is not differences but similarities. You should know ALL the writers of the Christian Bible were Jews but one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The vast majority of early believers in Jesus were Jews. So when you hear the exact opposite you need to keep that in mind. A Jew can believe in Jesus and still be a Jew. Edit: those that make personal accusations should include links or shut up.

Salvation in christianity is very simple. This is what the bible says:

Romans 10:9-13 (King James Version)

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.


The true God consists of: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Each are one in the same God, with each one have unique functions.

Jesus Christ is the son.

To be saved do this:

Kneel on bothe Knees and Pray for fogiveness for all your sins and that you will accept Jesus Christ into your Heart, Life, and Being. In your prayer confess your sins in Jesus's name to God.

As the mediator, Jesus Christ will be your master forever and guide and comfort you with the Holy Spirit. It is that simple. All you have to do is mean it and walk away from your old life in Jesus's name.

After that you are saved.


You will need three things after being saved:

1) King James Version Bible

2) Be babtised. Preferably a Southern Babtist Church since they are very orthidox on their teachings.

3) Enjoy your new life.

You repent, ask for forgiveness, and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart. The Holy Spirit convicts people, and you and Michelle are being convicted. Get yourself a Bible and read and study it. If you can find other Christians where you are, then get together with them and have yourself a Bible study group, but most of all keep the faith.

Get yourself a Bible, and start reading New testament first, then old testament...

Oh, and don't get a "King James" Bible....it was great 500 years ago, but there are much better translations based upon the Hebrew and Greek now. The Archaic language is far too open to interpretation by modern Christians.
