2 years in a 4* freezer
but the meat starts to drie out after 6 months

i work in frozen food distribution

I wouldn't keep anything in a freezer longer than 3 months and don't forget to defrost it thoroughly for at least 12 hours in the fridge!

i recently cooked a turkey that had been in my deepfreeze for just over a year..... it was delicious.

i would check the rating of your freezer, those in supermarkets, wholesalers etc are far more superior to ones at home. on most freezable items they come with a freezing date on how long to keep it e.g. 3 mnths. i would double check 2 years seems a long time..to me i would say a year max

just used one that was in freezer 2 yrs, just like new. if you put the turkey in the pan upside down, the juices will flow into the breast, will make it juicier.
