For classic or really nice cars:
hemmings.com
There are 1000 sites that will list your auto for free, and you wont even notice it. They will pick up the ad and refer it back to the website it originates at. This way they might not get a commision, but you found what you wanted at their site so you will remember it.
craigslist.org is allways good.
