A pretty good percentage are, but there is also a good percentage that have left the Catholic faith to become saved, born again Christians and to follow Jesus. I am one of the ones who left the Catholic religion and I am now saved and a born again Christian. AMEN!

2001 figures estimate the following

52% of Americans identified themselves as Protestant.
24.5% are Roman Catholic.

1.3% are Jewish.
0.5% are Muslim, followers of Islam.

That is sure to be out of whack now as Islam is the fastest growing religion around the world.
