Ok, I really like him...but I have NO idea how to get close to him.
I only see him in the hallways & at lunch.
I'm scared to look stupid or just get rejected.

1) Eye contact "The eyes are the windows to the soul"
2) Innocent touch Ex. Touch his arm to ask him a question
3) Mirror what he does, do not copy everything but just a few things and make sure he notices when, but do not make it obvious (It will sent a message to his brain that you like him)

Hey - simply chatting him up will almost always work. Remember, if you start to talk to him... he's almost certainly going into panic/nervous mode... guys aren't used to girls just chatting us up...
So that alone should do you good... if you want to tempt him and risk game playing - a loose top, and a carefully planned lean over where he gets a view certainly attracts attention, as does a short skirt and a thong or g-string.
But the real long term winner is the conversation approach - ask him questions about what he does, how he does it , what he's interested in... guys will happily (and stupidly and blindly) talk you to death about themselves if you seem interested.
If they get a clue - they might even ask about you (but don't count on it, at least not for a while - young men are pretty much shallow as paint)...

You have answered your own question. We all are scared to take risks... But the results are pretty much the same, if you are rejected or do nothing, you still have nothing. Technically, where is the risk? Actually are you afraid of losing your pride? Ten years from now, probably sooner no one will care (I don't care already) and you will still be single (and old) because you never learned to take that risk! Loss of pride will be sitting in your knitting circle, at the age of eighty and telling everyone what a chicken ____ you were.

Stop thinking of him so highly.
He is a normal human being just like you.
Once you can get this in your head, it will be easier for you to approach him.
If you try to get a guy using your looks, he will probably just end up exploiting you and leaving.
Find some things you have in common with him and talk about those things when you talk to him.

Just talk to him. Sit next to him at lunch and start a conversation or "accidentally" bump into him in the hallways and see what happens then.

Definately conversation... if you pass him in the hall as you say, why not smile at him and say hi. There is no harm in that. If he smiles back and acknowledges you then try to strike up a conversation with him in the lunch room in the playground etc

oh for the love of god just tell the guy u like him he either will say it back or tell u he dont feel that way either way its an experiance and u will know so u wont have to sit and wonder any longer just do it get it over with u might be surprised by his feeling s back .

Talk to his friends,see what he likes,maybe you can find some common things.And boys don't like "slutty" girls,they find them offending.If you dress as you always do,then don't change for him,unless he deserve it.
