Legal, no one has died in the UFC compared to boxing where they have fatalities about twice a year. The refs in the UFC protect an injured fighter, however in boxing they give them the standing 8 count and send them in to receive more punishment.

The new MMA organizations I predict will be the ones where a fighter gets crippled or killed because of open weight class tournaments, a 150 pound man against a 300 pound fighter.

well seeing how that it's a fighting sport just like Boxing, Tournament Sparring, Point Sparring, Olympic fighting Kickboxing and those are legal fighting sports this should be no different, because it's the next step in sport fighting.

It's not really any different than Pankration was back in the days of the Greeks and Romans, it probably has more rules nowadays to protect the competitors.

so really, what's the use in legalizing or banning it? the competitors are gonna get bloody if not as bloody in other sport fighting competitions.

I feel that UFC fights should remain legal. As long as our government is saying that it's okay for Americans to beat the holy crap out of eachother then all I have to say is, "Please pass the popcorn." All of us make a choice in life as to what we choose to do with our lives. There's many reasons why the lot of us choose to do what we do no matter the risks. So, if someone wishes to jump out of a plane with a chute then that's their choice. If someone wishes to ride bulls, scuba dive, climb moutains, wrestle crocs, box, race fast cars or whatever that's the persons choice and they had better completely realize the risks that go with it as I'm sure that they do.

banned. The ufc is the worse mma organization in the world. Pride Fighting Championships should be the only legal mma organization.

Legal. Last time I checked America was a free country. These guys are willing to step into octagon. I do not see any harm in it.
They are not forced to fight.

two competitors are going into the ring voluntarily. If they were forced, I could comprehend the thought of banning it.

Why should any government have the right to tell you what to do with your body?

All the participants are consenting adults, they don't have any effect on the safety of our citizens (aside from the consenting participants)
