This is an open forum. I'd just like to see how different people percieve God... good/bad, all-powerful/not, many/one.... and please explain your reasons for thinking so (a.k.a. parents, priest, teacher, personal experience etc.)

God is that, invisible, super natural power who creates, cares and destroys anything and everything!!!

All that we imagine, we see, we feel and judge or balance as good or bad is the greatest strength He has given us.

In Bhagawat Goethe Shree Krishna states:
(In brief I summarise)
"I am in everything and anything, I am giving everything and you are enjoying. I am taking back those that I given to you and giving to another. It is not yours...you didn't bring that with you while you are born and you are not going to take it while you die....That is with you now will be belong to another within a moment... "

I don't believe in an all-powerful god. My current thinking, though, when someone says "God", is an odd sort of plant-thing. This is entirely my own fault based on something I'm writing at the moment. The plant-thing is powerful, but not all-powerful, and neither good nor bad, though most people's perception of it would be bad.

Aside from that...I think we came up with the idea of gods--we created them, not the other way around--and through prayer and worship and so forth, have put enough energy into them to endow them with some kind of power, limited though it may be...

Honestly, I have no idea what I believe... Leaning towards atheism, though. I suppose that makes me agnostic. Anyway, my opinion is that if there is a deity, it is either not all-powerful or not good. Why do people suffer today, then? Why couldn't this deity simply make everything better? That's one reason why I'm skeptical. I get this view from personal experience, I guess. My parents are pretty open-minded, both are Christians.

I'm a Baha'i so that has been a major influence. He is a loving Father, friend and provider. My understanding of Him is limited in the fact He created me. In some ways He is so far beyond my understanding. Even abstract. Believing in God is one thing trying to define His role for me and what He wants me to do with my life another. He created everything so I try to see Him and His goodness everywhere. Most of the worlds problems and the challenges we humans face would disappear if we saw His finger print on people everywhere. The guy who cuts me off in traffic, that frustrates me but God created him too. Its easy to judge others
and many people are so busy trying to liberate themselves they fail to see the goodness that surrounds them.
I believe in God but I don't understand Him. I believe in the stars and heavens but I don't understand them cause I've never been there. I try to redefine how I see God because I change everyday.
Its easy to get stuck in a rut. He is my guide and refuge. By trying to see Him in others I begin to experience His love for His creation. Baha'is like any other religious body try to adhere to God's laws and ordinances. They are out road map. God's perfection is within us. Only by being obedient to Him can we see and become what is our inmost essence. We are angels or devils. Striving to be good and becoming better friends, better workers, better brothers and sisters, better human beings.
God is the perfect father figure. He wants us to succeed. If we fail we invariably have a lifetime to correct and learn from our mistakes. I live my life with the hope that I can make Him proud.
My perception of God is just that ,my perception. He is most likely very different than what I imagine of Him. He is as much male as female. He is far beyond black or white, red or yellow. I pray that others come to know Him better.

When I was child, I used to think him as divine, later I thought him as father and mother, now I consider him as every thing. In my faith we can consider god as friend, or beloved or father/mother.
