More than likely it is a yeast or ear infection. You need to clean it out thoroughly but "carefully" so you don't damage the ear drum. If you cannot do it yourself, have your vet do it. You then need to buy Otomax, and apply in ear twice a day.
Otomax is a prescription. My recommendation is to take your dog to the vet, it sounds to me that it is at the worst state now and you don't want your dog to lose his/her hearing.

It sounds like either mites or infection but this is what you do you mix 2 parts vinegar and 1 parts of warm water and w/ a cotton ball dipped in the solution (squeeze out the extra)and wipe out the ear....or you can use this solution 1 tsp baking soda mix in 1 cup of warm water and do the same thing as the vinager solution...just make sure not to leave no extra wettness in her ear,and make sure your gently wipe out her ear...my dogs have that all the time and if you don't keep the ears wiped out then it could get infected juust make sure if it gets worst to take her to the vet...p.s use some medical gloves less nasty that way trust me ;>}...pss do u have any cats or does she lay w cats ,cause mites are more of a cat thing,at least when I 1rst started this ear thing(I thought they had mites, and at the time no cats)they have allergies...what I'm getting at if no cats the 9.5 at of 10 it's not mites

Your dog probably has an ear infection. It could be allergies or depending on the breed the dog it could be prone to getting them, especially if it has long fur around the ears or flappy ears. You can clean it out. Or take her to the vet and they will give you this liquid that you put in their to help clean it out. It also drys out the ear and gets the junk from them bottom that saw a qutip wouldn't reach. Don't use qutips unless you dog is calm or under control because you don't want to damage the ear. A cotton ball maybe better.

Your dog needs to go to a vet. It sounds like an ear infection and a pretty bad one for there to be black stuff coming out of it. Your dog will need some antibiotics. If you notice him/her shaking their head a lot or scratching at it, that is also a good sign of an ear infection.
Good luck!

Believe it or not it's a fungus. I just got a pet from the Humane Society and she had the same thing. The vet says it's caused from water entering her ears. The only way he said you can get rid of it is by using MalOtic. It's in a tube and he said to clean her ear out with a kleenex, put 4 drops in her ear, massage the ear and do it twice a day for one week.

My dog also has the same problem. You should take him to the vet as soon as possible. It's a kind of ear infection and the vet will give you medicines. If the problem deteriorates, the doctor must drug your dog in order to remove the source of infection, as my doctor did to my dog. In any case, visit your vet. Good luck!

Please take her to the vet asap! Ear infections, whether mites or yeast, are itchy, then painful, and if still untreated, can make your dog deaf. Your dog is extremely uncomfortable, guaranteed. Only a professional cleaning and medication will help her.

This sounds familliar to an old friend of mine and her black lab. It also reminds me of my dog. It sounds like wax build-up or an infection. You do need to take her to a vet, and they will tell you what to do from there.
