What a horrible story.

It sounds like Father Athanase Seromba is an evil person. Unfortunately there are a few evil people are scattered all over the place, in all groups including countries and churches.

Looking at the bigger tragedy, many Catholic clergy and lay officials, both Hutu and Tutsi, were killed during the genocide, often while defending their parishioners.

Individuals of all faiths have been charged with crimes committed during the genocide.

With love in Christ.

He was probably told to say that, by the gov..because most Somalis including christians support the Islamic courts because they got rid of the curroption of the governmental warlords

. Keep in mind most people in Somalia even the Christians support Islamic Courts. The government is trying to make it a religious issue when in reality its about the Somalis getting sick and tired of curruption. Here Are some facts:
.
-Also the Somalian government is extremely corrupt and oppressed its people ..
-Before the Islamic courts took over Somalia was full of checkpoints;and inorder to go passed the government warlords you had to pay them.
-If you wanted to open a business you would have to pay for protection and if you didn't God help you.
-When the Islamic courts took over the Somali people stood together and stopped all checkpoints and helped and stop corruption and crime went dramatically lower.
-They (the islamic courts )told the gov. that they dont want to take over the government they are just sick of the crimes and corruption .
-The Somali government's warlords tried to go about their business of terror but with the help of the Somali people they were all brought to justice.
-They(the islamic courts) have never punished anyone for their religion.
-The Somali gov..wants to dismantle the Islamic courts inorder to go back to oppressing its ppl..so they asked Ethiopia for help since most Somalis dont support their gov. and told them that this is a religious war even affiliating it with AlQaeda which the courts deny..
P.S.If Islamic courts were oppressive then WHY do ALL SOMALIS SUPPORT THEM and not their government..

IF you want accurate info speak to a native Somali he would know.
I hope this helps remeber not to believe everything you hear ...

He is in fear of self sacrifice. Or he was greedy of something for him to do that. He didn't learn enough of Jesus' teaching. How sad. In other words, he should prefer death than to send others to death. He broke the commandments. If he is guilty of doing that he is not a child of God when he did that. Now supposed he confessed before he is executed assuming he is facing the firing squad. You know according to the Bible God would forgive him. His soul is safe however his body is dead to pay for the crime he has committed.

How does one inspire death?

Why? I dont know I never heard of it until now. Perhaps study the issue if it interests you.
