Yes the Bible says Faith with out works is dead! The woman with the issue of blood had faith but her faith only lead her to walk until she found Jesus, and when she found him she had to touch him... now had she heard of a man that could heal her she could have had faith all day long but if she had not put work behind that faith and simply sat there she would not have received the saving of her life through the healing by touching the hymn of his garment.

Hum? I belive that we are saved by GRACE. There is nothing that we can do that will ever make us worthy of the love and mercy that the Father shows us on a daily basis. The faith you have measures your personal depth and relationship with God. Please don't argue the merits of what saves; that's simple it's Jesus who died and paid the WHOLE cost for us all. We need faith and faith without works is dead. Pray on! Ask God for the answer for real.

you ought to do the two. You grant fantastic scriptures, so have others, they are right you cant what you call paintings your way into heaven or the dominion of God, it does not paintings like that it quite is a loose present of God. yet you do ought to have skills to be in heaven or a ingredient of Gods kingdom, basically each and every physique will no longer be able to be there. yet it relatively is a various subject depend. right this is a pair of scriptures that i admire besides in in regards to the religion and works subject depend. Acts 26:20 yet the two to those in Damascus first and to those in Jerusalem, and over all the country of Ju·de´a, and to the international locations I went bringing the message that they ought to repent and turn to God via doing works that befit repentance. potential exhibiting which you're working some a thank you to coach which you have replaced and not being interior the comparable way you utilize to. some one might say I even have replaced however the different person might say " practice it". yet quite a persons' strikes might practice that they've replaced and could practice that they have faith. If the guy reported I even have faith or I even have replaced or i'm saved and not in any respect did something to coach it by way of their strikes nicely it must be hard to have faith could no longer it.... yet another scripture i like to John 14:eleven,12 says Jesus: have faith me that i'm in union with the daddy and the daddy is in union with me; in any different case, have faith as a effect of the works themselves. 12 maximum relatively I say to YOU, He that workouts faith in me, that one will additionally do the works that I do; and he will do works better than those, through fact i am going my thank you to the daddy. right here Jesus even says, he that workouts faith will additionally do works.

We are absolutely saved by the grace of Jesus Christ through faith in Him. Without Him, there was no way we could be saved.

Nevertheless, it is important for us to do good works, because this is how we demonstrate our faith in Jesus Christ. And I personally believe that His grace helps us to do the good works that we seek to do.

The best sermon I know on this subject is the book of James, where he taught, "Faith without works is dead." I encourage you to study that book.

Salvation is by faith alone. We cannot attain salvation by good works. Salvation is a gift of God, as is faith.
Salvation creates good works, creating the ability to humble ourselves, and put others first.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift if Gid. Not of works, lest anyone should boast.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

It is not works that save you. However, once you do get saved (when it is for real) then you want to do works like random acts of kindness. If this compulsion is not evident then you were not ever saved or you lost it either way you should go back to step one and get saved.

The Bible says:

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:17-26)

Both faith and works have their part together. We are not saved by anything alone. Not faith alone, Not works alone.

The verse you referenced is the only verse in the Bible that uses the phrase "faith only" and it says we are justified NOT by faith only! It is also obvious that we are not saved without faith either! Hebrews 11:6 says, "Without faith it is impossible to please Him (God)".

One famous preacher once said, "We are not saved by works, yet we are not saved without them."

You cannot get to heaven by works alone, you to have both. If you're just doing it by works then you're just spinning your wheels. You have to have faith in Jesus Christ. Works alone could be doing it for your on selfish reasons thats why you need to have faith and work for the Good Lord.

I was always told it was a gift from God and all you have to do is accept it. However, if you believe in Jesus, then you have to show that by actions(believing is doing). I think they somehow come hand in hand inside ones heart.

Truly only God can be the judge of it. I say, just try your best and ask Him. He will always answer you right when you're suppose to know.
