Kingston and London are both university towns, Queen's in Kingston and Western in London. Kingston's population is around 100'000, London three times that. Kingston is the nicer area, end of Lake Ontario near the Thousand Islands. Close to both Montreal and Toronto. The Kingston Pen is a max security and a big employer, I wouldn't be concerned about safety. No West Edmonton Mall, but everything you could want, and if not it's close to the two biggies. It's a pretty place and a nice place to live. London serves a big area from Kitchener to Windsor, so it has really good shopping. My sister and her family live there with two young boys and they do fine, lots to do, good schools. Health care is big in London, University Hospital is world famous. It's close to Georgian Bay, a great vacation area. I have a high school friend who moved from here to Edmonton 30 years ago and married a local girl. We visit every couple years. I think you'll like the weather better here. So, you won't go wrong moving to either place. Kingston to London is about a five hour drive. Hope I've helped and you make out. Merry Christmas.

yea my friend lives in Kingston, it's like a small city and their is a University ther that's why she lives ther and another freiend is moving there for school this month too. It's a nice place but i recommend you go to the GTA, greather toronto area, but then again it's expensive in this whole area. . . but i dont kow. . Square 1 is a good mall, that's in Mississauga. I dont know about how much money it is to have a house in Kingston but I do know that in London it is significantly cheaper to get a house there, my cousin is thinking of moving from here, burlington to there cuz of that. but i also heard it's kinda boring, but it all depends on what you like to do or what your family is like and that i dont kow and why u want to leave edmonton, i hear there is people flocking there like crazy to live there and that there is alot of jobs availbale and they all pay really goood money. ok good luck

I live in mississauga Ontario.... if u wanna to go shopping look for a house in the square one area in mississauga. It is also not as condensed as Toronto but is 20 minutes away from it. It is a great place also to raise a family.
Sorry dont know much about kingston and but i do know london is kinda depressing, nothing much to do there.

I live in Mississauga, Ontario. Living is moderately cheaper than you would fnd in Toronto. You can go shopping at Square One ( the largest mall in Mississauga). There are a lot of recreational spots too, such as the Tomken Twin Arena and so on.

Yes, including several of our most harden criminals at Kingston Pen. Other than that it is a University town, as is London. But in Kingston you are not in the same snow belt as London.
