i honestly just want to be able to gain some more weight...not to be a fat beast, but just some fat and muscle mass to be able to stop being looked on as skinny. I dont have a problem with my outlook, but just a little weight so i can claim, I really can. I am a male.

No matter what you need to workout and eat. Eat lots of pasta and potatoes. A pro linbacker once said a trick used was eating double (3 peices of bread) peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every night before he went to bed when he was in college to jump start his growth. I treid it and it helped. Because when you sleep you muscle feeds on itself. So never go to bed hungry. Also when you work out you should be eating no more than 20 minutes after you workout ends. This way the muscle you gained will be sustained.
Kinds of foods:
1. Bananas
2.Peanuts
3.Pasta
4.Chicken (anything)
5.Fish
6.Vegatables
7.Potatoes (even french fries sometimes. Just don't do too much fried foods)

The good thing you have going for you is it's better to start from being skinny than from beng fat.

Had this prob. myself. Doc advised to dbl up on meals. There is no quick fix. Fact is your metabolism is burning off things more quickly then the body absorbs them.

Advice I was given? "You should be happy, ppl would kill to have your prob."

Many moons later, my metabolism has slowed and weight will come on. Don't worry so much about it. We're all built in dif. ways. Some like tanks, some like toothpicks and some are built for speed.

The trick is to make the most of the body frame you're given.

*KEEP 1 THING IN MIND...* Muscle weighs twice as much as fat, building muscle won't increase the overall apperance of being larger.

Well, I don't know that you want to gain any fat, it's pretty bad for you... But you can try weightlifting and other body building exercise to gain muscle.

Eat plenty of protein to fuel the muscles and carbohydrates for energy to keep working out.

I know someone that was told by her doctor to drink those Ensure drinks (along with food of course). I am not sure though, you may want to research it more. She just started doing it so I can't tell that its made a difference yet...
