Life would be easier if we didn't have to face these sorts of questions, wouldn't it?

I was in a similar situation to you a few years ago. Herpes was a totally new concept to me so, when the girl in question told me about her condition, I was confused. Then I was sad that sex had to be so damn complicated. Then I was angry at the guy who infected her.

My decision was to stay with her, and I did for 18 months. She had outbreaks every couple of months during that time. We used condoms and avoided sex altogether during outbreaks, and I was not infected.

I was lucky enough to avoid catching the disease, and maybe that's the reason why I am able to say that I don't regret my decision to take the risk. I'll never know. But one thing you can probably be sure of is that you're more likely to catch herpes from a few years on the casual sex market than the same amount of time spent in a loving relationship with someone who has had the decency to inform you of a risk you can both plan to avoid.

Good luck with your decision.

.Herpes IS forever! I would suggest you make sure She is taking drugs to keep it in check.. If She is taking Famvir or Valtrex, it really should not be a problem... Make sure there are no outbreaks or sores present before any sexual activity! Also make sure to take a shower immediately after any sexual contact.. it is harder for the male to get Genital Herpes than it is the female. I get my meds online without a prior prescription which save me time and money! Check out http://herpesrxfast.com/index.php . They have everything you will need for Herpes. good luck and let love prevail!

No, just buy female condoms for protection. They're the best for protecting against herpes. Also keep in mind that people are only contagious when they're experiencing an outbreak, and she will be able to tell you that.

It was good of her to tell you rather than try to hide it. That showed caring and respect.

At least she had the moral character to let you know. This is when you should decide what you want from the relationship. It isn't fatal, If your only intention was to have sex with her and move on, then I suggest you move on. If she is a real catch, then I suggest you think twice. Herpes is not something you want, and you need to wear a condom. It isn't 100% guaranteed. It does require a mature decision.

If she isn't the one then, move on.. If you see spending the rest of your life with her, then stay.

I think so! The first rule is to watch out for yourself! Herpes is incurable and what if you guys break up? You are going to be stuck with this stupid disease all because of one girl.

She ain't worth it!

Remember! Herpes is FOREVER.

if you truly love her, than you should be there for her in hard times, for example, if she has herpes. you shouldnt leave, her, just be more careful. But no, you shouldnt leave her, it would probably hurt her self confidence and make her think that because she has herpes, she wont be able to have anybody love her again.

I was with a girl who had it,but was nice enough not to tell me.Until one day she breaks out and I asked her.
I dumped the Ho,good thing she was doing the neighborhood anyways.
Let her find someone who already has it.Its not worth you living with the rest of your life with the disease.

No. Being "in love" with her why would you? If she lost a limb or an eye or got cancer would you leave her then? If you would then you are not in love with her and can't care about her much either.
