If you tie something like a bandana behind the upper part of their front legs (like what would be the armpit area) around the chest they completely lose their balance. Does anyone know why? We love our cat and we don't tie it tight and it doesn't hurt the cat. She just gets mad at us sometimes and lays there and gives us dirty looks until we untie it.

This is actually an old trick to taking your cat to (for instance) the vet and you don't have a kitty carrier. I've never heard of tying the bandana around the cat, what I have used in the past is an ace bandage (and don't wrap it tight!). I don't know why, but once you get it on the cat, stand it up on it's feet and down it goes! No, it doesn't hurt them, but you really want to make sure it isn't too tight.

It involves the fact that the cat uses it's entire body to balance when it walks and anything that cuts the circulation (even slightly) puts them off balance. It's for the same reason that cats aren't fans of wearing little kitty sweaters and whatnot

hey i luc cats i have two kittens and used to have a cat but hmm i dont really know why that would happen i dont want to try it with my cats coz 1rst they are likey reallly hyper the dont stay still and there little so they'll probably just eat the banana but i really dont know why that happens but good question
