What is a granola bar, is that like a musli bar? I'm sure it is ok but you probably get quicker results when you don't. But I'm not sure what is in a Granola bar. Is it like musli and dried fruit and nuts. You can get some nut bars that I think are ok that are just joined by honey but I think it is the excess sugar that can be a problem. Nuts in moderation are a good source of protein.

First of all DON'T DIET! Eat good nutritious food.
Granola bars won't kill your nutrition program however, they aren't the best choice. Try walnuts, peanut butter on celery or apple slices, almonds, etc. Even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole grain or sprouted grain bread is better than a granola bar. Or make your own protein and whole grain bar.

What you eat for one snack doesn't matter much in the great scheme of things. But for my money, granola bars have too much sugar. When that sugar wears off I'm hungry again. I prefer a snack that releases energy more slowly, like cheese or nuts.

Dieting is uslesss change of eating habit gradually, dont make drastic eating habit changes. Small changes give more return than living off rice cakes, and bland food.
