i asuume you are aking can i sue my doctors? well that all depends-you have to prove that they were negligent in not diagnosing you proerly-and that a reasonalble doctor would have diagnosed you correctly. this is a very difficult legal question-and one that cannot be solved over the internet. i recommend you go see a lawyer with the facts and he/she will be able to give you a better understanding of your position.

Seems like there would be a statue of limitations on that one. Would be hard to prove that you illness didn't change over 19 year.

Probably not--The attys. would ask things like-Did u get a 2nd opinion? Why not? Is it a new disease? Has anyone else ever had it? I'm curious as to why you stuck with the same Dr. for so long and what was your illness? Anyway-I hope your going to be OK.. Good Luck.

I don't think you can because failure to diagnose can be attributed to many many things . Diseases do always manifest or show symptoms for many years.
I knew a person that had to have the antibiotic gentamicin through an IV at periodic interval over a period of 6 weeks. She developed permanent vestibular damage as result of the anitbiotic given by the physician. She had to have it to save her life as she had bacterial endoicarditis and bacteriemia . For the rest of her life she always be dizzy. No attorney would touch the case as the physician had not done malpractice.

You can sue anyone for anything, aint America great?
winning is another matter, but you could make some lawyers' Beemer payments for a few months and jack up the doctor's malpractice insurance.

Do you mean SUE ??
Yeah, I guess I would have, if it took 19 years.
But then again, I may have sought a second opinion.
