Hi JP,

I've been working and researching. I keep coming to the same conclusion, even when I try to avoid it.

BTW, the info on NDE and OBE is getting stronger.

There is a site I found called near-death.com that "seems" to have good info.

I know you had a NDE. I did also, in a way. I hate to talk about it, but I do know what it feels like to be out of body, or separated from from body.

Sometimes I feel like science is like religion used to be. Galelio said, the earth revolves around the sun. The church said it did not.

Now, some people say consciousness is real, and others say it is not.

I think it will be resolved soon.

Take care,
Ted

Yes, the whole concept of reincarnation deals with afterlife, and there are proofs of young children remembering details from their previous life. This to me confirms life after death more than the near death experiences do, although near death experiences are indisputable--see the books of Dr. Raymond Moody--Life after life-for example. Have happy holidays.

Depends entirely on if consciousness is ephemeral or an epiphenomenon of the brain. ;)

Miss talking with ya'.

Oh, and I can explain without refering to the epiphenomenon every single feature they describe as 'undescribable' or 'unexplainable'. For example, 'the patient had a brainwave that was flatlines, temperature 60 degrees, but when revived, reported an NDE.' (paraphrase) -- betwene 98.6 and 60 is a wide range of temps, between 0 functionality and full functionality, there is a range of functionality. You cannot just jump between the two, so going down and coming up, twice she passed through semi-functional states.

And contrary to his assertion that no NDE'er needs a materialistic explanation -- remember that I have had an NDE, and I do accept the purely materialistic explaination.

Also, he makes the same error he claims the materialists make -- I cannot explain, so it must be the opposite. I cannot currently use a scientific explanation, so it must be mystical. This is as false as he claims the materialistic is.

In Genesis 2:7 this concept of creation is given:
dust + breath of life = living soul
At the death there is another formula:
living soul - breath of life = dust
And where is the soul? There is no soul after death. Because, soul exists only as a union of dust and breath of life from God, as shown in the first formula. The oposite process, given in second formula shows that only dust remains when the Lord takes away His breath of life.
This is why Bible says about death following verses found in
Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 5, 6 and 10:
"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun... Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
And Jesus, speaking about death of Lazarus in John chapter 11 says, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth... Howbeit, Jesus spake of his death." (John 12:11-13). The state of death is simmilar to that of sleep. You know nothing, see nothing, like during the sleep. And it's called "the sleep" because of the resurection that will follow at the comming of Jesus - for righteous, or later for unrighteous (Revelation 20:4-6)

quote:

"Some of the interviews are a little hard to understand, but the one with Dr. Stuart Hameroff, M.D., is really interesting...

...In the interview, he's asked what he thinks about Near Death Experiences. He replies with the idea that when the brain loses the ability to collapse in an organized mannor, that the quantum information is still around... it just doesn't really have a way to communicate with the brain. He says, "The quantum information isn't lost, it just kind of leaks out to the universe at large. ... You may think that it's going to disipate and spread out and be lost, but because of quantum entangelment, it tends to stay together."

Lead a practical life with proper accountability..you can't cheat the God, the Almighty... Yesterday was a good day because you did something good, today if you do something good, you will get a proper sleep...otherwise your tomorrow's conscience will question you why you did a wrong thing yesterday! Respect your conscience, that is the life after death...

First of all i appreciate to ask such a lovly question.?
As per the all religion and their books has been written two things
1-Born
2-Death

Now q is one ever who born in the earth is heaven for those who are doing good deeds, and hell for those who are doing bad deeds. its depend on the situations and the sroundings.

As per the Human who has born or created by the DNA and the creation of the Human from the sperm from where it comes it comes from the "DICK", and goes into the female factory for the hatching.

The way it comes out make the hell of pain to the female person. and the way he goes also make hell of pain when the soul goes out.

Now here is the draw back what is going behind that curtin after the death of the human body, body is just remain dust to dust and soul is going where...?

My dear there are so many spiritual persons who has proved to us soul is going to the place where no man has access its was there befor and it will remain there till the time comes..

Here is the confusion among all the religions started.

But no one relaize or want to accept the truth of this.. so life after death is there with its full form, and every human being who is on the earth now or after or before, will be gatherd on the day when they call upon ...

This day In ISLAM , very horible day,
This day In CHRISTANITY , described too horible day.
This day in JEWS , described too horible day.
This day in HINDUISM ,described too horible day.
This day in BUDHAISM , described bad day
This day in BLACK MAGIC described tough day for all..

So all these proved there is alife after death but no one want
to belive, as from the grave yard no one has comes and told us
yet, even NEW ERA has faild to got in tapes about this ..

So to belive and prepare for that day , GOD wants us to RESPECT humaity , and their things and away fromt he all evils.

GOD BLES U ALL. AMEN

Tke care

We the living are dead, those who have passed on are living eternal life. When we pass depending on which path we have chosen in this life we will either have eternal life with God, or be eternally away from God. Your choice
