American soldiers are working hard and are trained for the situation, but as with any portion of the population there are some that do not play by the rules. There is no way to win by doing the "wrong" thing. Policies must be followed. Most soldiers are working hard and doing the right thing, but there are those that just break the law. Soldiers that kill civilians, should be punished for that crime.

because these dip sticks have never been in a combat zone nor had a shot fire at them, and they don't realize the problems , involved in trying to stay alive in a enviorment where every one is a potential enemy and just waiting for the opportunity to kill you and kids are the worst because Americans tend to think kids are pretty much harmless, and the civilians are more dangerous than the uniformed combatants by far, it is damned easy to sit in a plush air conditioned office or nice comfortable home with all of the modern conveniences to condemn some one who is thousands of miles from home in a war torn country not knowing if he will ever be back home or not, confronted constantly with people who want to see you dead, and will kill you at the first opportunity, this should make a lot of men think twice before enlisting in the defense of their country, it sure would me,

Well, technically, you are supposed to disobey an order if it goes against the Geneva Convention, but who is really going to do that? Especially in the heat of battle ( while you're getting shot at)

Hmmm, some of you confuse me. "Doing what they are told"? I recently asked some family members who served during various wars in various subsidaries of the military and none of them said they were ever ordered to rape or kill any innocent people. Therefore I have come to this conclusion. People go to jail because they BREAK THE LAW!

Because of the political correct military.
How can you even think of even winning a war when political correctness slaps you in the face at every turn ?

I'm having a hard time formulating a response to your innuendo. But my gut instinct makes me want to shoot you in the head.

Good question
As an American taxpayer, I want our troops killing EVERY Muslim they encounter. Call it what you want, but we are engaged in a War against Islam. They should be getting medals, not prison!

They were not ordered to rape a young girl, and kill the entire family...if you are referring to that case. And as far as guards at Abu Gharaib treating prisoners as they were is abhorrent. My boyfriend was in the infantry and he captured lots of prisoners...even after they shot at him and tried to kill him, he still wouldn't stoop to levels that low once the enemy was captured. That is NOT what you are trained to do!
