Its simple attraction. Thats all. He dont even know you yet. But if this popular dude is looking at you, then other dudes are probably also. You are an attractive girl. Its that plain and simple.

Um how do you ask him a question like that when he barely knows you? At least become friends first, just wave next time you see hi, and if he waves back, it means he notices you, if he smiles and says something, it means he sees something in you, but if he ignores you, then he isnt interested. This way is a lot better. If you ask him a question like that, you'll just freak him out.

why whould u care? if u guys hardly know each other (you're refering to him as just some cute guy) then it shouldnt matter. if your interested in him dont be. go for someone you really know and like spending time with. guys can be complete jerks and still look cute. plus maybe he wasnt staring at you. you should atleast start talking to him and get to know him.
